Zero new COVID-19 cases and five more recoveries in Estevan’s South East Zone 4

For the third time in the last five days, there are no new cases of COVID-19 to report in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, according to the daily report for June 5. There are 34 active cases in Zone 4, which is down five from June 4.

For the third time in the last five days, there are no new cases of COVID-19 to report in South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, according to the daily report for June 5.

There are 34 active cases in Zone 4, which is down five from June 4.

There are nine new cases in the South East region, with all nine cases coming from South East Zone 2, which is north of Zone 4.

There are 99 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on June 5, bringing the provincial total to 47,285 cases. It’s the third time this week that there have been less than 100 new cases in Saskatchewan.

The other new cases are located in the following zones: Far North West, 6; Far North East, 1; North West, 19; North Central, 8; North East, 4; Saskatoon, 16; Central West, 3; Regina, 11; South West, 3; and South Central, 18. One new case is pending residence information.

Three new deaths were reported today. Two deaths in the 80+ age group from the North West region; and one death in the 60-69 age group was from the Saskatoon region.

A total of 546 people with COVID-19 have died in Saskatchewan.

Recoveries total 45,498 and 1,241 cases are considered active.

Another 147 people have recovered, bringing the provincial total to 45,498. Six of those recoveries are from the South East, including five from Zone 4.

A total of 1,241 cases are considered active, including 97 from the South East.

There are 98 people in hospital, including one in the South East, who is receiving in-patient care. Seventy-nine people are receiving inpatient care in Saskatchewan and 19 people are in intensive care, including two out-of-province transfers from Manitoba.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 117 (9.6 per 100,000).

There were 2,021 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on June 4, including 86 from the South East.

An additional 16,667 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 787,130. There were 1,179 in the South East.

Seventy-eight per cent of those over the age of 40 have received their first dose.  Seventy-two per cent of those 30+ have received their first dose.  Sixty-seven per cent of those 18+ have received their first dose, while 64 per cent of those 12+ have also received their first dose.
