A team of cross-country runners from the Weyburn Comp took part in the SHSAA cross-country provincials on Saturday, and one member came home with a gold medal.

Many Weyburn area families came out to try their hand at rolling a pumpkin down a hill at the Weyburn Kin Club's first-ever Pumpkin Roll on Saturday afternoon.

Weyburn's Relay for Cancer fundraiser event held on Friday evening raised over $10,000 for the Saskatchewan Cancer Foundation at the Credit Union Spark Centre.

Wrangler Elisa came to the show with a variety of animals: snakes, bearded dragons, blue-tongued skink, yellow-footed tortoise and a white-throat monitor, among others.

t’s almost time for the Alida Haunted House and Escape Rooms to open. The spooks, goblins, ghosts, etc., are arriving daily, claiming their spots and setting up residence.

The 33-hour event raised $357,001, which will benefit member agencies and community impact projects.

The new depot also has a larger capacity for serving bulk customers, such as bottle drive fundraisers, restaurants, bars and businesses; and it has hand-washing facilities, automatic power doors to help with accessibility and a larger parking lot.

Funds raised will go to 11 member agencies and six community impact projects.
