Legendary NHL player Yvan Cournoyer holds a replica jersey of the one he wore with Team Canada in the 1972 Canada-Russia Series, just as Winston Bailey is about to put it up for live auction at the Red Wings Sports Dinner and Auction on Saturday evening at McKenna Hall. The live auction portion of the evening alone brought in over $31,000, not including the long list of items up for silent auction. The biggest bid went for a jacket from Don Cherry, framed in a display case; Jeff Tosczak bought it for $11,000.
