On March 24 at 2 p.m. people flocked to the Carlyle Sports Arena where the skating club was holding their annual carnival. This year the theme was, "Let's go to the movies," and was greeted with much enthusiasm from the crowd.

Admission was a silver collection with non-perishable items also being accepted for donations to the Carlyle and District Food Bank.

The carnival began with Katie Wilson singing O Canada, while flag bearers Grady Benjamin and Jaden Fischer took the Saskatchewan Flag and Canadian Flag around the rink.

The rest of the group consists of Amy Cameron, Allison Collins, Ashlyn Cooley, Dawn Gibson, Lindsey McNab, Leah Pool, and Shanise Sloan.

The finale of the afternoon came in the form of "Fame" with all of the participants taking to the ice.

The day wouldn't have been possible without the skating coach Dawn Dyer and all of the program assistants, as well as the Carlyle Skating Club's Board, the Carnival Committee, Brent Stillwell the caretaker, and their many sponsors.

Awards were presented following the conclusion of the program. CanSkate Awards going to Ciara Corrigan and Hayden Miller, with the CanSkater of the Year being awarded to Tiana Dellaleau. The STARSkate award was given to Grace Smyth.
