Billy Vilcu goes up against his cousin, Julie Ducharme, as they demonstrate some of their skills in sparring during a presentation about the Vilcu Karate Club to the Weyburn Rotary Club on Nov. 21 at the Legion Hall. Sensei Harold Vilcu spoke about his years teaching and leading karate in Weyburn and Estevan, and then in recent years taking his students to the world competition level as they recently did in Austria. Each of his two students demonstrated forms, and then they sparred a little for the club.
