ECS Elecs win twice, reach quarter-finals at volleyball provincials

ESTEVAN - The Estevan Comprehensive School Elecs senior boys' volleyball team had a good showing at this year's Saskatchewan High Schools Athletics Association 5A provincial tournament in Prince Albert.

Estevan went 2-2 in the round robin and reached the quarter-finals of a tournament with a lot of tight matches.

Estevan opened play by going 1-2 on Friday, losing 2-1 (20-25, 25-17, 15-10) to Prince Albert St. Mary's, winning 2-1 (25-22, 9-25, 15-13) over Warman High School, and losing 2-1 (14-25, 25-23, 15-12) against Regina Winston Knoll. The Elecs wrapped up the round robin Saturday by beating Saskatoon Bethlehem 2-0 (25-21, 25-19).

ECS finished third in their pool and advanced to the quarter-final, which they lost 2-0 to Prince Albert Carlton (25-20, 26-24).
