The Weyburn Golf Course will be the scene of the First Annual Luff and Seghs Memorial Classic, honoring the memory of Brennan Luffman and Shaun Seghers.
Tournament organizer, Keyla Tochor, said "I would like to encourage everyone to come and support a great cause that benefits our local youth. Every year the Luff and Seghs Memorial Classic will pick an organization that they feel is worthy of the profits. This year the money will go to the Arcola Kisbey Minor Hockey. Both had a very special place in their hearts for children. Brennan and Shaun both played hockey in Arcola in the Big Six Hockey League. Arcola became a second family to the boys the last five years. It is a fun tournament and anyone of any age or skill is more than welcome to attend."
Brennan and Shaun were both great athletes in whatever they tried, but hockey was a passion for them both. They were co-captains of the AK Combines Senior Men's Hockey team. In their younger years, Shaun played for the EnCana Wings and the Weyburn Red Wings. Brennan played for the Saskatchewan Select, Canada Cup, Midget Select and the Summer Games in either baseball or hockey. He was a member of the Panther Ball Team and had played with the Weyburn Beavers and the Moose Jaw Millers.
They were loyal friends, had an incredible sense of humour, loved to laugh and have a good time. They graduated from the Weyburn Comprehensive School and were working in Weyburn, Shaun with Savanna Energy Services Corp. and Brennan, having his own company GrandSlam Contracting, and also worked for other local contractors.

This year's tournament will be held on Saturday, June 22 with a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start.
