Gymnasts come home with good results in Yorkton

Both competitive and pre-competitive teams from the Estevan Gymnastics clubs performed well at the Yorkton Springer Invitational competition last weekend.

Both competitive and pre-competitive teams from the Estevan Gymnastics clubs performed well at the Yorkton Springer Invitational competition last weekend.

In the junior Olympic 1 level in the pre-competitive level, Lexi Chappel took gold and Danika Yanyu won silver. For the junior Olympic 2 level, Aaliyah Dukart, Bergen Kersey, Bree Moroz, Halle Lozinsky, Julia Durr, Natalie Vandenhurk, Olivia VonSprecken, Peyton McIntyre, Trinity Heleta, Greycin Biette won silver, and Danika Lukye and Morgan Bussian won bronze.

For the competitive aged gymnasts, Haley Murphy was second and Abbigail Jones was eighth in junior Olympic 3 (2009-2010). In the junior Olympic 3 (2008), Lila Hale was sixth, Sadie Young was seventh and Presley Hollingshead was eighth. In the junior Olympic 3 (2007) category, Presley McLean was 13th and Cammy Henry was 21st. In the junior Olympic 3 (2005-2006), Rylie Scott was fourth and Haley Bonokoski was 11th.

The junior Olympic 4 (2007 and before) category saw Abby Krupka finish in 10th. In the Junior Olympic 6 (2005-06), Zoey Thompson was fourth and Ashley Frostad was seventh. The junior Olympic 6 (2004 and before) was where Tierra Fichter placed seventh and Kelsey Kowalchuk was finished 10th.
