Well as do this write-up, it's hard to believe that our hockey season is almost over. Just a few more weeks left!
On Feb. 3, 6 & under Wade team travelled to Oxbow. It was a close match-up and the game stayed close the entire time. Again, we made some great passes and saves in net. The game ended in a tie. I haven't been very good at getting the score sheets lately so not sure who our goal scorers were.
We attended our second tournament of the year in Moosomin on Feb. 16. We played a total of three games and were pretty tired by the last one. It was a little tricky for us, as this was the first time we had played actual positions, as well as off-sides, penalties and changing on the fly. Thanks to Coaches Wade and Kristi for the reminders and being so patient with the players! We lost our first 2 games but won our last one and came out as the "C-side" champs. The last game was a nail biter, ended in a tie and went to a shoot-out. It was very exciting for both the players and fans. The shoot-out took 6 players each, but we finally came out on top. The game winning goal was scored by Grady Benjamin and Trystan Kresowaty made some great saves between the pipes. Thanks to Jakson Humphries for joining our team for the day, it was great to have another pair of speedy legs on the ice.

Whitewood was in town to play on Feb. 17. We were a few players short for this game, so Dawson Galbraith, Jakson Humphries and Mason Barta helped us out. It was a close game in the beginning, but we pulled ahead and never looked back! I did remember to get the score sheet for the game this time!! Goals were scored by Chase Robertson, Dawson Galbraith, Jakson Humphries, Kale Ardnt, Mason Barta and Trystan Kresowaty.
Our home tournament is Mar. 2. Come out and support these young players! See you at the rink!
