Dominant nights for two players and contributions from a slew of teammates helped the Estevan Apex Bruins put up a 10-spot on the Melville Millionaires on Friday.

The midget AA club hammered the Mils 10-4. They also defeated the Notre Dame bantam Hounds 6-4 on Sunday.

On Friday, Kaelan Holt scored two goals and three assists, Kyle Salaway racked up six assists and Colton Winton potted a hat trick.

Defenceman Bailey Lonsberry scored two goals and added an assist.

Winton's first of the night came less than seven minutes in. Melville's Cody Jarocki tied it 16 seconds later.

At the eight-minute mark, Cole Piche put the Bruins back on top, scoring on a scramble in front of the net.

Shortly after, Melville's Destin Vranai fired a shot from the right face-off circle on a power play to knot the score again.

But the Bruins responded with two power play goals 37 seconds apart to take the lead for good.

Lonsberry took a pass from Salaway and fired a slapper home from the high slot on a two-man advantage, then Holt poked in a loose puck for the team's fourth goal.

Holt's second of the game came four minutes into the second. The 5-2 lead held for most of the period until the Mils scored two quick ones to make it a game again.

Darcy Kayseas tipped a point shot past Bruins goalie Landon Audet, then Brett Harasymuk scored on a breakaway with a wrist shot.

The Bruins took a two-goal lead just eight seconds after the Harasymuk tally, courtesy of a Kolten Ganson marker.

Estevan went on to score four goals in the third period to put the game out of reach.

Winton's second goal came less than seven minutes in, redirecting a centring feed into the net.

Lonsberry scored again when Mils goalie Nicholas Houston stopped his shot with a pad, but it hit a player in front and ricocheted back into the net.

Winton completed his hat trick three minutes later, and Matt Bill closed it out with 59 seconds left on a rebound.

On Sunday, meanwhile, the Bruins fell behind twice in the first period but took the lead for good before it ended.

Salaway and Holt each scored twice, with Winton and Ganson adding singles.

The Hounds' scorers were not available.

The Bruins are back in action tonight, hosting the Notre Dame Argos in Game 1 of their first-round provincial series. Game time is 8 p.m. at Affinity Place. The second game is Sunday in Wilcox.

In regular season play, the Bruins visit the Regina Wild on Saturday
