For the second time in as many years, a race program at Estevan Motor Speedway was interrupted by weather during the features.

During the modified A-main on Saturday, track officials decided to shut down the races for the safety of fans and drivers, as lightning strikes were occurring in the area.

Brad King had won the hobby feature after challenging for the lead late in the race and then taking it. It was his second straight win in Estevan to start the year.

At the time of the decision to end the night, Tyler Wagner was leading the modified feature, followed by Eric Sinness and Travis Hagen.

The features for the stock car and late model classes had yet to begin.

There was no word from the Speedway as of press time when the missed A-mains would be made up.

Last year, after a similar situation played out during a race night in July, the track added the missed features to an already scheduled program later in the season.
