The under-10 Mini Red Devils girls soccer team was in Swift Current last weekend to participate in the Southwest Soccerfest tournament. The girls first faced Swift Current White and won 3-0. They then faced the Moose Jaw Storm winning 5-0. This placed them in a tie for first place with the Swift Current Red team who had also won both of their games. With the downpour of rain and the forecast of snow and a wind chill of -4, the tournament organizers and the coaches from both teams decided that the Mini Red Devils and the Swift Current Red would then face each other and play for the gold medal game. The under-10 Mini Red Devils came out with a 4-1 victory in what turned out to be a snow/rain storm. The medals were presented back at the hotel and out of the cold.
