New head coach for the Weyburn Red Wings, Bryce Thoma receives a jersey from Scott Sabados, president for the Red Wings, during a press conference on Thursday. Thoma was an assistant coach for the Western Hockey League Red Deer Rebels since 2008 and was the head coach of silver medal winning Team Alberta this past November at the under-16 Challenge Cup in Calgary. Thoma, a 31 year old Saskatoon product, played four seasons with the Red Deer Rebels from 1999 until 2003 and was part of the 2001 Memorial Cup winning team.
