Spencer Brothers Memorial Golf Awards benefit Hospital Foundation

The Senior Men's division of the Weyburn Golf Club concluded their golfing season on September 18 with an 18-hole mixer tournament, followed by a banquet at the Weyburn Golf Club.

The Senior Men's division of the Weyburn Golf Club concluded their golfing season on September 18 with an 18-hole mixer tournament, followed by a banquet at the Weyburn Golf Club. This year's Spencer Brothers Memorial Golf League Awards benefitted the Hospital Foundation Fund.


The winner of each of the two divisions received a $200.00 donation receipt from the Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation Fund and a $100 gift certificate to the Weyburn Golf Club from the Spencer family.


Jack Jones was the winner of the Barry Spencer Event of the Spencer Brothers Memorial Senior Match Play with Carl Von Hagen capturing first in the Howard Spencer event.


In the mixer tournament, Terry Creurer and Dean Miller were named King and Queen of the Tournament with a combined score of 77. Delois Sunde and Bill Rudachyk came in second with an identical score of 77 but lost to the Creurer/Miller team after retrogression. In third place was the team of Dona Rudachyk and Frank Kaip with a score of 83. In fourth place was the Joan Carlson and George McLeod team with a score of 84. In the fifth place was the team of Cheryl Rommann and Stan Runne with a score of 85. In sixth place was the Marg Woodard and Stan Zaluski team with a score of 85. Coming in seventh was the team of Jean Woodard and Kevin Bakken with a score of 87. In eighth place was the Bonnie Sidloski and Lyman Sargent duo with a score of 86. In ninth place was Bernice Haug and Louis Woodard with a score of 86. In the tenth place was Linda Poole and Dennis McRae with a score of 87.
