Weyburn Razorbacks post loss to Regina Barracudas at home

The Weyburn Razorbacks Jr. Lacrosse team hosted the Regina Barracudas for a return match at Tom Zandee Sports Arena on Friday night.

WEYBURN – The Weyburn Razorbacks Jr. Lacrosse team hosted the Regina Barracudas for a return match at Tom Zandee Sports Arena on Friday night, but came away with a 11-5 loss on the night.

In the first period, Blake Becker scored Weyburn's lone goal to Regina's four, with an assist from Vann Dennis.

Landon Redman scored in the second period, from Mahekan Whitehorse Rider, then in the third, Jake Dammann scored unassisted.

Weyburn other two goals were by Nick Hartley, unassisted, and Jask Missal, assisted by Hartley and Ryder Hignett.

During the first intermission, "future Razorbacks", the Weyburn U9 Thrashers came out to do an exhibition game on a half-rink.

The next action for the Razorbacks will be on the road, as they will visit the Swift Current Wolverines on Saturday, june 1.
