In conjunction with Skate Canada, the Weyburn Skating Club will host the Saskatchewan Stars on Ice show on March 6 at Crescent Point Place. The Saskatchewan High Performance Figure Skating Team will be performing in the ice show.

Over the past 18 years, every community the show has performed in has been thoroughly entertained. The proceeds from the show go directly to develop figure skating in the province.

The High Performance Team is made up of 28 male and female figure skaters, aged 12 to 22 years old, from across Saskatchewan. They will perform solo, pair and dance pair programs as well as group numbers. These programs will be skated to modern and traditional music and will appeal to all ages. Because the High Performance Team is made up of the best figure skaters in Saskatchewan, spectators will see many double and triple jumps as well as some amazing spins.

Highlighting the show will be Canadian competitors, Junior Ladies skater Shelby Hall, Junior Dance competitors, Nevada Smith and Addison Voldeng, as well as Novice Dance competitors, Jocelyn LeBlanc and Wyatt Cowell. There will also be performances by local and regional skaters.

The show, which starts at 6:30 p.m., will run approximately two and a half hours which includes a 15-minute intermission. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors, $3 for students 18 and under and free for children 6 and under.
