The Weyburn Travelodge will host the 12th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on June 9, with proceeds going towards the purchase of new equipment for the Therapies Department (NuStep, Parallel Bars, and Laser Machine) of the Weyburn General Hospital.
Last year, with the generosity of the sponsors and golfers, in excess of $33,000 was raised, which was put towards the purchase of a new ambulance for the Weyburn area.
This year the tournament committee is adding both a silent and a live auction to the golf tournament and are, therefore, actively seeking items for both the auctions. Over the previous 11 years, the tournament has raised in excess of $230,000 for the Sun Country Health Region, specifically the Weyburn Hospital.
