Weyburn Red Wings head coach Bryce Thoma says the team needs to adjust their attitude on the ice after four straight losses over the past week.

"We keep finding ways to lose. It's getting old and frustrating how we're able to go out and beat ourselves," said Thoma.

Coming off a 2-1 loss to the Humboldt Broncos December 4, the Wings took to the road to face the Kindersley Klippers which resulted in a 3-1 loss on December 6.

Josh Lees scored the lone goal off the stick of Brendan McKay.

The Battlefords North Stars defeated the Wings the following night in a 2-1 shoot out. McKay scored with assists to Brian Farkas and Colton La Roque.

On December 8, the Wings travelled to Humbolt to face the Broncos once again which resulted in a 4-2 loss.

Scoring for the Wings were Brian Farkas and Cody Pettapiece. Assists went to Lees, Ty McLean and Mason Anderson with two.

The play has been extremely inconsistent. The Wings sit seven points behind the third place Bruins in the Viterra division. Thoma said it seems they are happy with keeping the score close.

"That attitude has to change," said Thoma. "We've been looking to change this attitude. We've had it since game one and it's now game 29."

The Wings had begun to battle back and had their record at 10-13, then lost three in a row.

The Wings will be in Nipawin to face the Hawks tonight, in Flin Flon to take on the Bombers on Saturday, December 14 and in Humboldt on Sunday, December15.

On December 18, the Wings host the La Ronge Ice Wolves at 7:30 p.m. at Crescent Point Place.
