The Weyburn Cobra Wrestling Club attended the Saskatchewan Amateur Wrestling Association Provincial Championships held in Moose Jaw March 29. The club had 20 wrestlers attend the tournament with 18 coming away with a medal. Receiving Gold: Makena Ricard, Katlyn Franklin,Chantal Vogel, Billy Frankin, Keith Allin, Liam Evans, and Nathan Bradley. Receiving Silver: Frankie Gawryluik, Skylar Lenius-Coderre, Hayden Bert, Eric Fleming, and Carter Barrett. Receiving Bronze: Karver Heustis, Raiden Kiraly, Brayden Ealey, Tyler Fleming, Aaron Hemphill, and Ryan Verbeem. Placing 4th: Keiran Ricard. Placing 5th: Quinton Driedger.
Brayden Johnson, Brayden Roberts, Ashley Bradley, Brittany Franklin, Kalin Oliver and coaches Travis Franklin and Anita Franklin will attend the CAWA Cadets/Juvenile National Wrestling Championships in Guelph, Ontario from April 3-6.
