There was no question of the top drivers at Estevan Motor Speedway last Wednesday.

Plan for 2011-12 season

Sunday's Dennis Neelin Memorial Race has been cancelled due to poor track conditions. There are no plans to reschedule the race. The next event on the drag racing schedule is for July 24.

With SJHL cards being issued last Tuesday, the Estevan Bruins have been getting down to business.

The Community of Rouleau is hosting the Hockey and Hearts Celebrity Golf Tournament on June 22.

Batter up! Carlyle Minor Ball Days was held at Lions Park in Carlyle over the past weekend. Warm weather and lots of ball teams contributed to yet another successful weekend of ball.

The under-10 Mini Red Devil girls' soccer team traveled to Swift Current to take part in the Southwest Soccerfest Tournament on the weekend of May 27 to 29, bringing home gold. In round robin play the girls had some great success.

The Estevan TS&M Tornados played at the Eugene Emberley Memorial Tournament in Weyburn on the weekend and saw the fruits of their labour over the first month of the season.

Teamwork from the Beavers infielders Jon Neuberger (No. 11) and Nicholas Iacovella (No. 24) gets the ball to first-baseman Derek Wallace (No. 32) and prevents a Yorkton Cardinal from getting on base.

James Noble is just like every other 18-year-old boy who worships the Saskatchewan Roughriders. The only difference is he has muscular dystrophy.
