It was a night to remember for Oxbow’s Tanner Jeannot on Tuesday night.

The Estevan Oilfield Technical Society (OTS) is adding to the fleet of events it offers for those in the oilpatch. The OTS will host the inaugural Top Gun trap shooting event on April 16 at the Estevan Wildlife Federation’s shooting range.

Special Olympics Estevan is pleased to have most of its programs operating again. The organization has two programs for youths, Active Start and FUNdamentals, and it also has had swimming and bowling for adults.

Estevan is among the communities that could have a spring under-18 football league this year.

Tanner Jeannot has been rewarded for his outstanding start to the 2020-21 hockey season.

Another talented local athlete has committed to compete for the Medicine Hat College (MHC) Rattlers athletics program. Aden Haywood has agreed to join the Rattlers running team for the 2021-22 season.

The Weyburn Curling Rink is marking Curling Day in Canada in two ways, as they are not able to physically have any curlers in the rink.

The Carnduff Curling Club has received a boost after winning a provincial contest. Carnduff finished first in the Affinity Credit Union Season of Curling competition.

Carlyle and Lampman are among 38 communities from across the province entered in the 10th annual Saskatchewan Blue Cross/Saskatchewan In Motion Get Out and Play Challenge. If successful, Carlyle would use the money for a new spray park.

Estevan Bowl hasn’t had any league play since November due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it’s still a place where people can come and enjoy open bowling.
