The Saskatchewan Green Party wants to know how charging a ‘Beach Tax’ in Provincial Parks and then making it impossible for the fee to be paid fits in with the vision of Keeping Saskatchewan Strong? Provincial Parks are charging a seven-dollar fee for people to enter a park and go to a beach, but are not staffing the entry points to collect the fee. It makes no sense to charge a ‘Beach Tax’, and then harass beach-goers with warnings but then not staffing park buildings to collect the fee. I can hardly believe this is happening.
Somebody in this government better straighten this mess out. An opportunity was missed by the Wall Government to hire summer students to operate the entry points into the parks.
A Saskatchewan Green Party Government will eliminate this charge so people can go to a beach in a Provincial Park freely.
