Cheers to the two men who tried to get people unstuck at the Boundary Dam boat launch, and to the two men from Woodlawn Regional Park’s maintenance division for their efforts as well. It was nice to see people trying to help others in need.
Cheers to all the teachers who decided this was the school year in which they will not wear yoga pants to school as part of their professional attire.
Cheers to the Woodlawn Regional Park for hosting another fantastic Beach Bash this past weekend. It was a great event that had fun activities for the family during the afternoon.
Cheers to two good Samaritans, Dean and Terry, who stopped to help a motorist with a flat tire just east of Weyburn on a very hot Sunday afternoon. Their kindness, advice and good nature will not be forgotten.
Cheers to the Estevan Police Service, the Estevan Fire and Rescue Service and the Estevan EMS for partnering together to host the open house on the weekend. The co-operation really added to the event.

Jeers to businesses that don't look after their parking lots. It's a shame and hopefully no one will be injured, and no vehicles will be damaged, due to the neglect.
Jeers to whoever is responsible for the secret shopper scam that is now circulating the community. We’re sick of receiving calls that are scams.
Jeers to people who still haven’t clued into the importance of recycling. It’s good that people take their empty cans and bottles to SARCAN for the partial refund, but there are still too many materials winding up in the garbage rather than recycling bins.
Jeers to people who were complaining about the recent heat. Ironically, many of them also complained about all the rain in June and July.
Jeers to the two people who were arrested in Estevan’s most recent drug bust last week. It’s always nice to see people like this taken off the street, even for a little while.
