Cheers:
Cheers to everyone who was involved with the tree planting at the old Grace Pioneer Cemetery last week. It will really boost the appearance of the cemetery.
Cheers to those who supported the fundraising efforts of Katie and Landon Emde in Midale. It was great to see them lead the country in fundraising for Inside Out for Autism.
Cheers to the Estevan Wildlife Federation for organizing the fishing derby on Boundary Dam on Saturday. It’s a great way to kick off fishing season.
Cheers to the people who control their dandelions. It adds to the appearance of the community.
Cheers to the people who pick up garbage that others leave behind.
Jeers:
Jeers to the Estevan Public Library for offering most of their adult programs during the day or before 7 p.m. How are working adults supposed to attend?
Jeers to employees in stores who pack the bags so heavily. Some people aren't as young as they used to be, and others have arthritis in their hands, so it’s difficult to carry heavy bags.
Jeers to people who place their dog poop in other people’s garbage bins. Please use your own bins.
Jeers to those who have been driving too fast on Henry Street while the detour is in place. It’s 30 kilometres per hour for a reason. Please make a note of it.
Jeers to those who have the connections and the money to get their criminal charges dropped. It would be nice if they took responsibility for their actions.
