Cheers and Jeers for Nov. 18

Cheers : Cheers to St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation for all the beautiful Christmas trees in the Festival of Trees fundraiser. It's hard to pick a favourite.

Cheers:

Cheers to St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation for all the beautiful Christmas trees in the Festival of Trees fundraiser. It's hard to pick a favourite.

Cheers to the Royal Canadian Legion Estevan branch for organizing this year’s Remembrance Day service. They do a great job every year.

Cheers to the Estevan Arts Council for naming their annual Adjudicated Art Show after the late Evelyn Johnson. She did so much to promote culture in this city.

Cheers to the Estevan Art Gallery and Museum for having four local exhibits on display. Hopefully a lot of people will drop by and check them out.

Cheers to all of those who have shown their support for the Billesberger family and Bruno the dog during his recovery from the time spent trapped in a well.

Jeers:

Jeers to the drivers who still think the “Right Turn Only” sign at the intersection of Souris Avenue North and King Street doesn’t apply to them. They hold everyone else up so they can turn illegally.

Jeers to whoever removed the wreaths from the cenotaph in downtown Estevan, hours after they were laid there for Remembrance Day. It was disrespectful to the veterans.

Jeers to the people who were caught driving while impaired last week. It’s astounding that some people still haven’t received the message.

Jeers to those who are still complaining about the results of the U.S. presidential election. Trump won. Move on. It’s not like Canadians have any influence on the election.

Jeers to the lack of attendance at Power Dodge Estevan Bruins games. They’re an entertaining team and they deserve better crowds than some of those we’ve seen this year.
