Cheers:
Cheers to the young lady who paid for another person’s order in the drive thru at Tim Hortons last week. You made the day of the recipient.
Cheers to the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins for the entertaining home games they played in the past week. Hopefully more fans will take note of the exciting on-ice product.
Cheers to the Estevan Art Gallery and Museum for hosting the Halloween Haunt during the weekend. It was a fun night and the kids loved wearing their costumes a little early.
Cheers to the appearance by Louisiana Hay Ride at the Estevan Comprehensive School. They sounded great, and played a lot of great songs.
Cheers to all of the candidates who ran in the civic and the school board elections this year. Thank you for your dedication to your community, and good luck to those who were elected.
Jeers:
Jeers to businesses that have a limited number of catalogues available at their stores. Maybe they want people to order online. But many still prefer to shop at the store.
Jeers to all the malcontents who didn’t vote in the civic election. You failed to vote, and yet you still think you have a right to complain? You can’t have it both ways.
Jeers to those who continue to be involved with the local drug trade. It’s good to see that the Estevan Police Service apprehended a few more of them last week.
Jeers to all of the skunks in the city. While it’s good to see the bylaw enforcement officer is trying to catch them, it’s annoying that it seems like the numbers are at an all-time high.
Jeers to the number of noisy parties still happening in the city. One good thing about winter and colder temperatures is there will be fewer parties for a few months.
