Cheers:
Cheers to the people of Midale for putting on the most delicious fall supper. And thanks to all of the cooks. The food was enjoyed by all.
Cheers to the TS&M Woodlawn Golf Club for the beautiful landscaping work they did around the clubhouse all season long.
Cheers to Southeast Newcomer Services and the other participating cultural agencies for organizing the Collage Cultural Festival. There were lots of great displays and the entertainment was outstanding.
Cheers to everyone who was involved with the annual Enbridge Pipelines Cooks that Cook fundraiser for the United Way Estevan. The food by all the chefs was terrific, and the money will go to a great cause.
Cheers to all the students who participated in a Terry Fox Walk during the last couple weeks of September. It was great to see so many young people raising money for the Terry Fox Foundation.
Jeers:
Jeers to the back alleys that have tree branches sticking way out. It’s really frustrating, especially when they scratch a vehicle.
Jeers to people who don’t take pride in the appearance of their yards and the exterior of their homes. It’s really discouraging to neighbours, and it creates an eyesore.
Jeers to all the cats that are running free to crap in everyone else’s yard. They shouldn’t be allowed to run free. If owners can’t control their cats, then they shouldn’t have them to begin with.
Jeers to whoever was responsible for the break and enter at a business in east Estevan last week. Why are people preying on our businesses during the economic recession?
Jeers to the carbon tax that is going to be ramrodded through by the federal government. It’s bad news for the people of Saskatchewan. It’s bad news for our provincial economy. And it’s bad news for Western Canada in general.
