Pats won 11 straight games

The Regina Pats won all three of their games in Alberta to extend their winning streak to 11 straight games. They started the road trip with a 4-0 win over the Calgary Hitmen.

Then they went to Edmonton to face the Oil Kings and came away with a 5-2 victory. The Alberta swing would conclude with a road game in Red Deer, where they got past the Rebels 4-3 in overtime. The Pats are in first place in the Eastern Conference and have clinched a playoff spot.

In the Ontario Hockey League, the Windsor Spitfires split their weekend games. They lost to the Hamilton Bulldogs 6-3 but rallied to beat the Erie Otters 5-4 in a shootout. The Spitfires are in fifth place in the Western Conference.

As for the American Hockey League, the Ontario Reign lost both of their games over the weekend. They lost to the San Diego Gulls 4-1 and then to the San Jose Barracuda 4-1 on Sunday.

The Ottawa Senators beat the New York Islanders 3-0 in a one-sided game in NHL action. The win left the Senators tied for second place in the Atlantic Division.

In the National Lacrosse League, the Calgary Roughnecks lost to the Toronto Rock 11-7 in a lopsided game. The Roughnecks are in third place in the West Division and their next game is against the Vancouver Stealth.

The Los Angeles Clippers of the NBA got past the Charlotte Hornets 107-102 in a close game. The Clippers are in fifth place in the Western Conference.

In NCAA Basketball, the No. 15 Florida Gators got past the Texas A&M Aggies 71-62 in a close game. The Gators are in a tie for first place in the South Eastern Conference.
