Riders lose final regular season game

The only quarterback that played well in the game was Brandon Bridge, who attempted 11 passes while completing 10 for 120 yards passing and two touchdowns. The Riders finished the season with a disappointing 5-13 record.

Other scores from Week 20 were: the Winnipeg Blue Bombers beat the Ottawa RedBlacks 33-20, the Montreal Alouettes edged the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 32-25, and the Edmonton Eskimos hammered the Toronto Argonauts 41-17.

In the NFL, the Minnesota Vikings lost to the Detroit Lions 22-16 in overtime. The Vikings record is 5-3 and their next game is against the Washington Redskins.

Other scores from Week 9 were: the Oakland Raiders beat the Denver Broncos 30-20, the Atlanta Falcons hammered the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 43-28, the San Diego Chargers defeated the Tennessee Titans 43-35 and the Dallas Cowboys beat the Cleveland Browns 35-10.

In NCAA Division 1AA Football, the North Dakota State Bison beat the Youngstown State Penguins 24-3 in a lopsided game. The Bison’s record is 8-1 overall and 5-1 in conference play.

In NCAA Division 1 Football, the No. 22 Florida Gators lost to the Arkansas Razorbacks 31-10. The Gators record is now 6-2 overall and 4-2 in conference play, and their next game is against the South Carolina Gamecocks.

The Regina Pats beat the Saskatoon Blades 9-6 in an exciting Western Hockey League game. The Pats are in first place in the East Division.

In the American Hockey League, the Ontario Reign lost both of their games over the weekend to the Tucson Roadrunners. The Reign’s record is 3-2-3 and they are in fifth place in the Pacific Division.
