The matchup for Super Bowl LI is set. The New England Patriots, who hammered the Pittsburgh Steelers 36-17 in the American Football Conference championship game, had control of the game from start to finish.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady attempted 42 passes while completing 32 for 384 yards and three touchdowns. They will face the Atlanta Falcons who powered their way over the Green Bay Packers 44-21 in the National Football Conference championship game.

In the National Lacrosse League, the Calgary Roughnecks got past the Colorado Mammoth 14-12 in a close game. Calgary’s record is 2-1 and they are in first place in the West Division.

The Regina Pats won two of three games on the weekend in the Western Hockey League. The Pats are in first place in the Eastern Conference.

In the Ontario Hockey League, the Windsor Spitfires split their games on the weekend. The Spitfires are in fourth place in the Western Conference.

In the American Hockey League, the Ontario Reign won both of their games over the weekend. The Reign are in second place in the Western Conference.

The Ottawa Senators of the NHL split their games over the weekend. The Senators are in second place in the Atlantic Division.

In NCAA Basketball, the No. 25 Florida Gators lost 68-66 to the Vanderbilt Commodores in a very close game. The Gators are in third place in the South Eastern Conference.

In the NBA, the Los Angeles Clippers lost to the Denver Nuggets 123-98 in a one-sided game. The Clippers are in fourth place in the Western Conference.

Manchester United tied Stoke City 1-1 in an English Premier League game. Man U’s record is 13-5-4 and they are in sixth place in the league.
