The latest marquee event in the Estevan area to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic is the Scotties-Tankard, the two provincial curling championships that were to happen in the Energy City early next year.

Many of you probably have seen the press conference in which Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister broke down and cried as he pleaded for people to "stay apart at Christmas." He was asked why he liked being hated so much.

Since the pioneering era throughout Western Canada, hockey nights were the centre point of entertainment and sports in the midst of prairie winters.

A precious sister-in-law struggles with near blindness, overwhelming tiredness but most of all, with loneliness. Her husband passed away three years ago.

To the Editor: After reading the council news in last week’s Weyburn Review, it has caused me to write this letter.

To the Editor: I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Rose Schultz. Rose has been a valued friend since 1956. We met under unusual circumstances.

Cheers: Cheers to the Estevan Kinsmen Club for once again setting up the Christmas Card Lane. It looks very festive on Souris Avenue North. Cheers to the respectful and great service of two young men at Energy City Overhead Door in Estevan.
