For much of the past few months, Saskatchewan residents have done a pretty good job of navigating through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

When I hear people talk about cutting their TV cable package, I realize there’s only one reason for me to retain it: sports. I could do without everything else on TV.

To describe rural Saskatchewan as a remote location is often meant, or at least taken, as a slight.

It happened officially on March 24. It was an announcement many were anticipating. Some nations had already declared their position – including Canada – yet for me, a huge fan, it still came as a disappointment.

A definite advantage of this pandemic situation is the number of ways in which we are learning more and more about unity. I know there are riots and protests but I’m talking about our town and, in particular, our local neighbourhood.
