Ever since I was a kid, New Year was the biggest, best, most wanted and my favourite holiday of the year.

I’ve heard a few people mention the impending turn of the decade, that perhaps this will be another “Roaring Twenties.” But for some of the youngest among us, it may feel like a countdown, as in, they have 10 years left to the end of the world.

“Angels we have heard on high, singing sweetly o’er the plains. And the mountains in reply, echo back their joyous strains.” Lest you think I’ve forgotten the joyousness of Christmas, I haven’t.

I really was paying attention to the impeachment proceedings involving U.S. President Donald Trump. I just couldn’t bring myself to watch them live. After all, watching them would be a giant waste of time.

For the most part, ending cannabis prohibition in October 2018 proved to be a positive measure, especially in economic terms.

The Christmas pageant is usually a highlight of the year for a school. It’s a chance for students to showcase their talents while singing, dancing and acting, and there’s usually a packed house with parents and many other spectators.
