RCMP have charged a youth in connection to the assault of a pregnant woman.

A regular meeting of the Weyburn City Council was held on November 22; here are the major points of interest: *Council received an update on the renovations to Crescent Point Place (CPP) and the Tom Zandee Sports Arena from the Facilities Committee.

Members of the Weyburn Water Polo team attended the Saskatchewan Open Water Polo Tournament at the Regina Lawson Centre, from November 12 to 14.

Two local men will be competing at the Canadian Cowboy Association (CCA) Finals Rodeo being held in Regina during the Canadian Western Agribition from November 22 to 27.

Weyburn RCMP Traffic Services has begun to participate in Operation Overdrive, a Saskatchewan Government Insurance(SGI) program that focuses on impaired drivers. Local RCMP have already made one serious arrest as a result of the SGI initiative.

Competitive members of the Weyburn Synchro Stars attended their first competition and development camp at the Shaw Center in Saskatoon on November 13 and 14, receiving many team successes.
