Weyburn area has six new COVID cases, 54 active cases total

The COVID-19 pandemic has cancelled yet another major trade show in Saskatchewan, this time affecting one of the Lloydminster Heavy Oil Show (LHOS).

There are 336 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Jan. 8, bringing the provincial total to 17,474 cases. In the Weyburn region, there are 10 new COVID cases, and a total of 46 active cases as of Jan. 8.

The status of a COVID-19 outbreak is continuing to be maintained by the Saskatchewan Health Authority at both the Weyburn General Hospital and the Weyburn Special Care Home.

The City of Weyburn is currently reviewing their art membership program, that applies to art and cultural programs offered at their locations throughout the year.
