To the Editor: Reading the Oct. 7, 2020 edition of the Weyburn Review, I’m struck with two comments. The headline, ‘Sask Party, NDP aim for balanced budgets’ , we’ve heard this promise before from the parties.

The upcoming Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) influenza clinic campaign is set to kick off on Monday, Oct. 19.

Both Saskatchewan Party Leader Scott Moe and New Democratic Party Leader Ryan Meili were talking on Thanksgiving Monday about the recent rise in COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan.

The Weyburn Police Service received 82 calls for service during the week of Oct. 5 to 11, with calls including thefts and a fatal accident.

There are 34 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Oct. 13, bringing the total to 2,174 cases. The new cases are located in the North Central (9), Saskatoon (8), Central West (4), and Regina (11) zones. Two cases have locations pending.

The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce is announcing the confirmed candidates will be in attendance for the All Candidates Forum for the riding of Weyburn-Big Muddy on Thursday, Oct. 15for the Provincial Election to be held Oct. 26.

There are 48 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Oct. 12, bringing the total to 2,140 cases.
