Wilfred William Ebel, late of Weyburn, SK, passed away January 1, 2018 at the age of 77 years.

1943~2017

On Tuesday, January 2, 2018, Dale passed away peacefully at the Regina General Hospital at the age of 83, surrounded by his devoted family.

Tickets are still available for a fundraiser supper event to assist the Cornish family with their expenses in taking care of their infant son.

By Greg Nikkel Weyburn city council will meet with the executive of the Weyburn Golf Club to discuss the possibility of an interest-free loan so they can carry out upgrades to golf course facilities, in particular to install a new irrigation system.

The Weyburn Comp Eagles senior girls basketball team had a strong showing at their home tournament to start the new year, and fell just short of winning the tournament championship in the final game versus Notre Dame on Saturday evening.

Weyburn city council began the approval process for their 2018 budget, and after an extended discussion about some of the items that could be cut, council decided to at least allow the top five major capital projects to go forward.
