It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Brennan Zackrisson on October 28, 2017 at the age of 50 years. Brennan was a dedicated and loving husband, father, son, grandfather and uncle.

Lois Ivy Renz, late of Weyburn, SK passed away October 24, 2017 at the age of 92 years.

To the Editor: I feel compelled to write regarding the condition of our hospital. There are holes in the walls and hallways with damaged plaster and paint throughout the building.

By Greg Nikkel Weyburn’s ninth annual “Walk to Cure Diabetes” brought in about $24,000 on Sunday afternoon in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), with 145 people taking part, including the entire Red Wings hockey team.

For many people, November 11 is a day to sleep in, to be off school or work, while there are many who will still have to go to work to serve their customers as usual, and there is no time off.

The Richardson Pioneer Gold Wings hosted two games against the Battleford Sharks at Crescent Point Place on Saturday and Sunday. During the first game, held on Saturday night, the Gold Wings lost 9-0 to the Sharks.

The large collaborative mural created as a part of a workshop for Culture Days was unveiled on Wednesday evening at the Signal Hill Arts Centre.

Weyburn police received a call to assist in keeping the peace at a local medical facility on Sunday. During police attempts to mediate and de-escalate the situation, two members of the Weyburn Police Service were assaulted. They were not injured.
