People tried their best to stay dry and out of the rain as they watched the parade of antique tractors and vehicles in Midale’s Heritage Village on Saturday, held as part of the weekend celebration of Pioneer Echoes.

The Weyburn Police Association will be hosting a golf tournament at the Weyburn Golf Club on Friday, August 18. The tournament is open to the public and the proceeds will be donated to the Weyburn Humane Society.

The parade of antique tractors and vehicles made its way through the Heritage Village at Midale on Saturday in the midst of a downpour, as part of the annual Pioneer Echoes event.

Garnet Hansen will be inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame, in the individual category, during an awards ceremony to be held in Battleford on Saturday, August 19. Garnet was born in Oungre and grew up playing baseball and hockey.

The Weyburn Ladies Golf Club held their 17th Open Golf Tournament, sponsored by Pharmasave, at the Weyburn Golf Course on July 29, with 80 ladies attending.

A successful Tech Camp was recently hosted by Community Futures (CF) Sunrise at the Southeast College campus in Weyburn from July 24 to 27.
