SWIFT CURRENT — The Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes unit is investigating the suspicious death of a 29-year-old from Swift Current.
On Aug. 8, at approximately 1:10 a.m., Swift Current Municipal RCMP responded to a report of a male who was injured at a residence on 1st Avenue NW in Swift Current, where a male found there was taken to hospital. He was later declared deceased. His family has been notified. Police are unable to provide additional details about the male at this time, except that his death is considered suspicious.
There will be an increased police presence on 1st Avenue NW in Swift Current as this investigation continues.
RCMP say they are unable to provide additional information at this time. Updates will be provided when available. If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, RCMP will notify the public.
