“Gasoline prices in Canada held steady over the last week, with the national average virtually unchanged,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “Most provinces saw either a decline or no change in average prices, with Ontario being the only province to see a noticeable uptick. The stability comes as oil prices continue to trade in the $60s, providing some consistency for fuel costs. While global developments—such as a potential peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine—could influence oil markets and potentially lead to easing prices, domestic factors like the Canadian dollar’s performance and regional refining dynamics will remain key influences on pump prices in the weeks ahead.”
