Between The Lines: Dissecting a QB decision

According to Dr. Phil, sometimes you make the right decision. Sometimes you make the decision right. That's what we'll wait to see from the Edmonton Elks tonight as they take on the Saskatchewan Roughriders at Mosaic Stadium.

Edmonton Elks head coach Mark Killam has decided to start veteran quarterback Cody Fajardo ahead of Trey Ford for one reason.

"Yeah, simple answer. The football team's looking for a spark. That's why we made the quarterback change."

No matter the reason, SportsCage analyst Glenn Suter isn't sure it's right.

"If Cody goes out and leads this team to a big win, which is going to be a very tough task against Saskatchewan, then okay, they make the change. They've got their veteran in there. That's why they brought him over, and that'll be the narrative. If they don't, Cody plays okay, but they don't win, now what? Now it becomes competition week to week, and it's a distraction."

Find out what happens tonight between the Elks and Riders across the 620 CKRM Cooperators Rider Broadcast Network.
