After powering through three consecutive doubleheaders over the weekend, the Regina Red Sox enjoyed a well-deserved day off Monday, coming off a dominant 15-1 victory over the Swift Current 57’s at Currie Field on Sunday night.
With just seven games remaining in the Western Canadian Baseball League regular season, the Red Sox are entering the home stretch with momentum and a clear focus on playoff positioning.
Regina kicks off the week with a road matchup against the Moose Jaw Miller Express on Tuesday, before the two clubs meet again mid-week at Currie Field in what could be a first-round playoff preview.
The Saskatoon Berries will then travel to Regina for a two-game set leading into the August long weekend.
As the playoff picture continues to take shape, the Red Sox hold third place in the WCBL East Division with a 25-24 record in the final week of regular season action.
