The Saskatoon Berries added to their league-best record Tuesday night with a 10-4 win over the Regina Red Sox at Currie Field.

Bailyn Sorensen powered the offense, collecting three hits—including two doubles—and driving in three runs. The Berries scored three runs in both the fourth and sixth innings to secure their 18th win of the season.

Regina, now 11-9, was led by Jordan Tucker, Rafael Jackson, and Justin Simard, who each had two hits.

The teams meet again Wednesday night in Saskatoon at Cairns Field. First pitch is set for 7:00 p.m.


Moose Jaw Miller Express 1, Sylvan Lake Gulls 9

The Sylvan Lake Gulls pulled back to .500 on Tuesday night with a 7-1 victory over the Moose Jaw Miller Express.

Brock Tijernia and Noah Konings led the way with two hits each, helping the Gulls notch their 11th win of the season. William Edwards had two of Moose Jaw’s four total hits in the loss.

The teams will face off again Wednesday night at Gulls Stadium.


Medicine Hat Mavericks 2, Weyburn Beavers 3

Ian Heck’s walk-off sacrifice fly in the ninth inning gave the Weyburn Beavers a 3-2 win over the Medicine Hat Mavericks Tuesday at Tom Laing Park.

Heck also impressed on the mound, tossing six innings of five-hit ball with 10 strikeouts and just one unearned run in a no-decision.

Brayden Mayencourt tied the game in the eighth with a sacrifice fly, setting up the late-inning heroics.

The two teams meet again Wednesday night in southeast Saskatchewan.


Swift Current 57’s 2, Fort McMurray Giants 4

Despite eight strong innings from starter Adam Korte, the Swift Current 57’s opened their Alberta road swing with a 4-2 loss to the Fort McMurray Giants on Tuesday.

Elijah Olaybal and Miles Murphy led the Giants’ offense with two hits each, helping secure their sixth win of the season.

Wilmer Henriquez stayed hot at the plate for Swift Current with a three-hit performance, though the 57’s dropped to 5-16 on the year.

The two teams meet again Wednesday in Fort McMurray before the 57’s continue their trip with two-game sets against Energy City and the Sylvan Lake Gulls.
