WEYBURN BEAVERS 3, SASKATOON BERRIES 7

The Saskatoon Berries jumped out to a four-run lead in the first inning and never trailed in a 7-3 win over the Weyburn Beavers Tuesday night at Nex Gen Patch at Cairns Field.

Carnduff’s Carter Beck sparked the offense, going 3-for-5 with two runs scored and his 12th double of the season. Cory Wouters added two hits and two RBIs as the Berries picked up their 41st win, just three shy of tying the WCBL regular season record (44) set by Sylvan Lake in 2024.

Calvin Junek earned the win, allowing one run over five innings with two strikeouts.

Weyburn’s Ryan Dauphinee led the Beavers, going 3-for-4 with a run scored.

The teams meet again Wednesday night in Saskatoon.

William Edwards and Evan Deringer each had three hits, while starter Rodolfo Guardiola tossed six solid innings to earn his fourth win of the season as the Moose Jaw Miller Express rolled to a 14-6 victory over the Regina Red Sox Tuesday night at Ross Wells Park.

The win moves Moose Jaw to 22-28, just three games back of Regina for third in the WCBL East Division.

Brady Bye, Jalen Meyers, and Jordan Tucker went deep for the Red Sox, who fell to 25-25.

The teams meet again Wednesday at Currie Field in Regina. First pitch is 7:05 p.m.

MEDICINE HAT MAVERICKS 8, SWIFT CURRENT 57’S 6

Yusei Uzawa’s RBI single in the fifth inning proved to be the difference as the Medicine Hat Mavericks picked up their second straight win over the Swift Current 57’s, claiming an 8-6 victory Tuesday night at Mitchell Field.

Uzawa finished 3-for-5, while teammate Jaden Babiuk also collected three hits as the Mavericks notched their 33rd win of the season.

Despite the loss, Wilmer Henriquez stayed hot for the 57’s, driving in three runs with two hits, including his 11th home run—just one shy of the WCBL lead held by Saskatoon’s Ethan Menard.

Both teams are off Wednesday before meeting again on Thursday in Swift Current.
