REGINA RED SOX 10, SASKATOON BERRIES 12

The Saskatoon Berries pushed their league-best win total to 22 with a wild 12-10 victory over the Regina Red Sox on Monday night.

Ethan Menard, Nathan Houston, and Abiam Medina each collected three hits, fueling a five-run fifth inning that proved to be the difference for Saskatoon.

Jackson Syring, Jaden Collura, and Riley Bender led the Red Sox offense with two hits apiece, as Regina dropped to 12-12 on the season.

The Berries are back at home Tuesday to host the Moose Jaw Miller Express, while the Red Sox head to Swift Current to face the 57’s at Mitchell Field.



WEYBURN BEAVERS 13, BROOKS BOMBERS 8

The Weyburn Beavers dropped a 13-8 decision to the Brooks Bombers on Friday as their Alberta road trip rolled on.

After tying the game 6-6 in the top of the fourth, the Beavers gave up four runs in the bottom half, and Brooks kept control from there.

Tyler Dorn and Chett McDowell paced the Bombers’ offense with three hits each.

Weyburn continues the trip with a Canada Day matinee against the Lethbridge Bulls.
