Doug Falconer

Doug Falconer was raised on a grain farm near Glentworth, in south central Saskatchewan.

He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1991, and a Bachelor of Education Degree in 1993, both from the University of Regina. In 1993, Doug pursued his dream of broadcasting by attending Western Academy Broadcasting College in Saskatoon, and got his first job in Port Hardy, BC that fall.

He moved to GX94 Yorkton in 1994, to take employment as the Afternoon News Anchor until 1996. After nearly three years of working at radio stations in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Doug returned to Yorkton as Assistant News Director in 1999.

He took over the News Director duties in 2003, and the Agriculture Director’s job in 2020.
