The City of Yorkton's agriculture week kicked off with a ceremonial branding, officially marking the beginning of Harvest Showdown in the city. Yorkton Chamber of Commerce President Don Rae, Mayor Bob Maloney, and Yorkton Exhibition President John Simpson oversee the branding by honorary presidents Elise Vargo, Anne Britton and Donna Malinowski, long time Harvest Showdown participants and Exhibition volunteers. Harvest Showdown is running now until November 8, with a rodeo, stock shows, fiddle competition and much more.
