Annual review wraps up year for local cadet corps

The 2834 RCACC 64 Field Battery Cadet Corps held its annual ceremonial review recently in the city. The review showed family and friends the skills and abilities the cadets have learned over the past year.

The Corps were reviewed by Capt. Greg A. Evans, CD. The review was the Yorkton native's last official action before retirement.

Award winners are as follows:

Col. M. Powell Trophy for Proficiency in Training - Level 1: Cdt. Chris Wasmuth.

Ladies Auxiliary Royal Canadian Legion Trophy for Proficiency in Training - Level 2: Cdt. Chelsea Liboiron.

Capt. G. Kaschl Trophy for Most Active Level 1 Cadet: Cdt. Brayden Jarvis.

Capt. W. Gaitens Trophy for Best Attendance: Cdt. Kara Taphorn, Cdt. Kyle Taphorn and Cdt. Fred Slater.

Capt. Warminger Trophy for Outstanding Personal Deportment: Cdt. Mathew Martsinkiw.

Capt. L. A. Nijssen Trophy for Esprit de Corps: Cdt. Fred Slater

Capt. P. Jaques Citizenship Award: Cdt. Chelsea Liboiron and Cdt. Kara Taphorn.

Most Improved Marksman - Green Star: Cdt. Kyle Taphorn.

W.O. R. Silva Top Shot Trophy for Air Rifle - Green Star: Cdt. Brayden Jarvis and Cdt. Aaron Louison.

Orville Pede Trophy for Most Improved Marksman: Cdt. Kara Taphorn.

W.O. Pede Trophy for Top Marksman to Cdt. Fred Slater.
