Spending quality family time on the snow has become a holiday tradition for many in Manitoba and Saskatchewan and this season has been no exception. December 31, alone brought in over 1150 guests including the one millionth guest to the Asessippi Ski Area. The resort experienced an approximate 10 per cent increase in traffic during the holiday season over last year and has been very pleased with the terrific snowfall to date.
"Guests are really enjoying the upgrades we made this fall," explains Roz Pulo, director of marketing for the resort. "With more lifts, we now have people spread out in different areas, which means less congestion and shorter lift lines."
Asessippi installed a new 650 ft. Magic Carpet in the beginner area, named the Ollie Express. They also expanded the tubing park and installed a handle tow in the Robin's Run Terrain Park. Upgrades the to Squirrel Chair were completed and opened just a few days after the resort did.
Currently Asessippi is offering a $9.99 Sample Sunday, to encourage people to come out and try the sport. A bunny lift pass, rentals and friendly instructors on hand to get you started. Available Sundays only until January 20.
Asessippi Ski Area & Resort is located just west of Inglis, near the Manitoba/Saskatchewan border.
